The European Beekeepers Association (EBA, headquartered in Slovenia) is protesting a preliminary decision by the European Commission to increase the duty-free honey import quota from Ukraine from 6,000 tons to 35,000 tons per year.

The EBA has called for postponing this decision until more robust honey quality control systems are implemented, according to the association.

In July 2025, the total trade volume of Ukrainian dairy products reached $52.1 million, up 6.8% from June ($48.8 million), but down 23% compared to May ($67.6 million). 

Export volumes in July reached $27.2 million, a modest 4.0% increase from June ($26.1 million), but 36% lower than in May ($42.8 million).

Metallurgical enterprises in Turkey increased imports of steel billet from Ukraine by 70.6% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 98.82 thousand t.

Overall, in the first half of the year, billet imports to Turkey grew by 59.2% y/y, reaching 2.07 million t, with their value rising by 38.7% year-on-year to $1.04 billion.

PrJSC “Yuriya”, which produces dairy products under the “Voloshkove Pole” brand, has been granted an EU number.

The company received approval for exports to EU countries through the TRACES system. The first shipments of “Voloshkove Pole” products to the European Union are planned for October–November.

The most promising markets are the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, and the Baltic countries.
