In July, Ukraine exported 8.2 million tons of goods, of which 3.5 million tons were agricultural products.
Agricultural products and food industry goods traditionally make up the majority of Ukraine’s exports. In July, their value reached $1.7 billion, accounting for more than half of the country’s total exports.
The top exported products in July were sunflower oil ($537.9 million or 464,000 tons), wheat ($159.0 million or 732,800 tons), soybeans ($151.0 million or 375,200 tons), and corn ($145.0 million or 617,700 tons).
The EU remains Ukraine’s key trading partner. In July, goods worth $1.9 billion were exported to EU countries (+10.1% compared to June this year).
Poland was the largest buyer of Ukrainian products ($405.9 million), followed by the Netherlands ($201.8 million), Germany ($199.8 million), Spain ($161.4 million), and Italy ($142.5 million). Among non-EU countries, the largest consumers of Ukrainian exports were China ($212.4 million), Turkey ($149.2 million), India ($140.8 million), Egypt ($110.9 million), and Moldova ($100.3 million).
Additionally, compared to June, physical volumes of transportation by sea and road increased (+7.1% and +4.4%, respectively), while rail transport of goods decreased (-1.5%).
