In July 2025, the border inspection control units of the Northern Interregional Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection conducted state veterinary and sanitary control of shipments with day-old chicks and turkey poults. 

The shipments arrived in Ukraine from Poland, Hungary, Germany, and the Czech Republic. 

In total, nearly 837,300 chicks and turkey poults were imported for further breeding.
