In the 2024/25 marketing year, Ukraine’s soybean oil exports reached 484,000 tons from September to July, a 51% increase compared to 320,000 tons in the same period of the previous year. The growth was driven by increased shipments to the EU, with Poland leading at over 316,000 tons.
India emerged as a notable buyer outside the EU, particularly in the first quarter of 2025. Total exports to India in the 2024/25 marketing year reached 36,700 tons, compared to less than 1,000 tons in September–July of the 2023/24 marketing year.
February marked a record month, with Ukrainian soybean oil exports more than doubling year-on-year to 59,000 tons (+106%). India accounted for a significant share, importing 11,000 tons, alongside other destinations such as Saudi Arabia (4,000 tons).
