However, in December of the previous year, Ukraine’s IT exports reached $617 million, an increase of $97 million compared to November. Nevertheless, December is traditionally one of the strongest months for this indicator.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has allocated the quota volume for the product “Sugar”, the export of which to European Union member states is subject to licensing.

Ukrainian Product Distribution (UPD) and the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada have reached an agreement to supply well-known Ukrainian brands to the shelves of Canada’s largest food retailer - the Loblaws chain. The first shipments of Ukrainian goods to Canada were shipped at the end of 2024. As of today, the chain offers more than 50 product items, including chocolate, tea, coffee, canned goods, sweets, cookies, and juices, according to UPD.

In 2024, Ukraine imported agricultural products worth $7.82 billion, a 9.7% increase compared to 2023, when imports of agri-food products totaled $7.13 billion.

In 2024, the value of supplies from the European Union rose by nearly 9% compared to 2023, increasing from $3.68 billion to $4.006 billion. The EU’s share of Ukraine’s agri-food imports exceeded half for the sixth consecutive year, reaching 51.3%.

Pork imports showed signs of intensification in January. External shipments of chilled and frozen pork in January surpassed the total import volumes for the fourth quarter of 2024.

During the first month of the year Ukraine imported approximately 323 tons of pork, which is more than double the combined volume of products imported from October to December of the previous year, as well as in January 2024.

In 2024, Ukraine imported 8.2 thousand tons of buttermilk, fermented or sour milk and cream, which is a 5.7% decrease compared to the previous year’s figure. Spending on these products in 2024 was 3.4%, which is lower than in 2023 -  $16.8 million. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, V. Koval stated that compared to 2023, the volume of agricultural exports increased by 12.5%, or by 2.7 billion dollars.

This growth was largely driven by an increase in the volumes of some of the largest categories of agricultural exports - grain crops (up by 1.1 billion dollars) and oilseed crops (up by 0.5 billion dollars).
