In the first four months of 2025, the Cherkasy region exported goods totaling $461.5 million, a 2.6% increase compared to the previous year. Over 78% of these exports were agricultural products, according to the Department of Regional Development of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

The European Union has increased import quotas for Ukrainian agricultural products as part of an updated free trade agreement.
Specifically, the quota for Ukrainian wheat imports has increased from 1 million tons to 1.3 million tons, sugar from 20,000 tons to 100,000 tons, barley from 350,000 tons to 450,000 tons, and poultry meat from 90,000 tons to 120,000 tons.

From January to May 2025, Ukraine imported 5,400 tons of pork, a 3.9-fold increase compared to the same period last year. In monetary terms, pork imports for the five months of this year reached $13.5 million, a 3.6-fold increase compared to the same period in 2024. The majority of pork imports came from Denmark (69.7%), Poland (12.4%), and the Netherlands (8%).
