On July 7, 2025, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade adopted a decision to apply definitive anti-dumping measures on imports into Ukraine of fittings for water supply and heating systems originating from China and Turkey.
The investigation was initiated in October 2024 based on a complaint from Rozma Trading House LLC, which was also supported by Sun Tech Rai LLC.
The investigation revealed facts of dumped imports of fittings from Turkey and China at prices significantly below the normal cost on the domestic market of these countries. Such imports caused significant damage to the national producer, in particular, a decrease in production volumes, a drop in sales, and a deterioration in financial results.
According to the Commission's decision, the definitive anti-dumping duty is set at the following rates:
- for Chinese manufacturers – 166.65% of the customs value of the goods;
- for Turkish manufacturers – 34.72%.
This was an exceptional case in the practice of applying trade protection in Ukraine, as the investigation was completed ahead of schedule, in 9 months instead of the one-year period stipulated by law, noted the law firm "Ilyashev & Partners", which protected the interests of the Ukrainian manufacturer.
