Bulgarian Parliament has decided to support the lifting of the ban on imports of wheat, corn, rapeseeds and sunflower from Ukraine after September, 15. A total of 124 legislators supported the decision, 69 – were against it, 8 – abstained. But the Government of Bulgaria announced that it will request additional financial support from the European Commission in order to compensate the losses of Bulgarian agricultural producers, especially sunflower producers.

In August 2023, Ukraine has exported 9,5 thousand tons of dairy products worth 20 million US dollars. This is 4% more than in July.

Ukraine has exported condensed milk, cheese and ice cream the most. However, compared to July, the supply of these products reduced.

Ukraine has exported 2,64 thousand tons of condensed milk, which is 14% less than in July. Revenue from export amounted to 6,5 million US dollars.

According to the results of August 2023, Ukrainian mining companies increased the export of iron ore by 12,7% compared to July 2023 - to 1,53 million tons. In monetary terms, the export of iron ore increased by 2,7% m/m in a month – up to 144,3 million US dollars.

In comparison with August 2022, in August this year, the export of iron ore increased by 6,2%, and the revenue from exports reduced by 16,2%.

Ukrainian farmers exported 528 thousand tons of barley and 0,6 thousand tons of rye.

In January-August 2023, Ukraine exported 35 000 tons of eggs, which is 94,4% more than in the same period last year.

In monetary terms, exports for 8 months of this year increased by 72,4%, as compared to the same period in 2022, to 45 million US dollars.

In particular, 5 000 tons of eggs were exported in August, which made it possible to earn 5,4 million US dollars.

In the 2022/2023 marketing year, Ukraine has increased the production and export of sunflower oil by 25,4% and sunflower meal by 27,3% compared to the 2021/2022 marketing year. In 8 months of 2023, the export of sunflower seeds decreased by 58% compared to the corresponding period of 2022, which made it possible to significantly increase its processing at domestic facilities and, accordingly, the production and export of products with high added value.

Amazon has extended preferential terms for business from Ukraine for one more  year. Thanks to  it, Ukrainian entrepreneurs will not pay a fee of 7%-17% for each sold product.

A referral fee is a percentage that companies pay for each product sold on Amazon.

Last year, at the request of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the company canceled the payment of this commission for Ukrainian businesses.

Over 19 000 transit declarations were issued in the NCTS (New Computerized Transit System) system during the 11 months of the "customs visa-free" period. The total number of transfers from Ukraine in 11 months was 15 725.
