Ukrainian exports during the 1st quarter has increased by 12%

The significant increase of products exports to China (+55%), Great Britain (+38%) and to the European Union (+17%) continues.

In the nearest future the Government plans to agree on signing of 5 more agreements on the FTZ (free trade zone) with different countries, which must significantly broaden the geography of Ukrainian exports. One more tool of Ukrainian business support, which sells its products abroad, will be the Export credit agency (hereinafter - the ECA).

Denys Shmyhal has noted that such institution helps ukrainian exporters and insure risks. This week the Government has recapitalized the ECA with 1,8 billion UAH. According to the data, provided by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, this decision will allow to increase the volume of the total exports of Ukrainian by 2-3%.

He has also reminded about the State program of support for businesses “Affordable loans 5-7-9%”. Since the beginning of the program the authorized banks have issued almost 13,000 loans with the total amount of almost 30 billion UAH.

Let us also remind you that the indicators of the quarterly reports for 2020 show that Ukraine has withstood the challenges of the pandemic. The fall in GDP has been lower than expected.
