Ukraine ranks third of chicken exporters to the EU, reports UNN with reference to EU statistics.

Thus, in January-February 2021, Ukraine exported 13,2 thousand tons of chicken to the EU and ranked 3rd among the largest suppliers of chicken meat to the European Union.

Last year the export of Ukrainian chicken to the EU ,,fell” by 90%. Thailand supplied a bit more to the EU countries than Ukraine - 25,7 thousand tons, taking second place in the rank, nevertheless last year the export of Thai chicken to the EU fell by 26%.

The first place is given to Brazil, which in 2 months of 2021 exported 36,4 thousand tons of chicken meat, respectively. The export of Brazilian chicken meat to the EU fell  to 16,3%.

The first batch of Ukrainian chicken meat produced by MHP holding arrived in the United Kingdom last week, the Ukrainian embassy in the UK informed.

,,This was possible thanks to the duty-free tariff quotas provided by Free Trade Agreement, as well as the business persistence of the MHP holding,” - the embassy informed.

MHP is the largest producer and exporter of chicken meat in Ukraine. The most famous Ukrainian brand of the company is ,,Nasha Riaba”. Now it is the only chicken producer that has passed an independent test in Ukraine and confirmed the absence of antibiotics in its products.
