Ukraine, with the assistance of the European Commission, has been implementing six projects for the development of the western border

Ukraine under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program implements 6 development projects of the western border. They were prepared jointly with Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.

The total cost of projects approved by the European Commission is more than 200 million euros.

Projects will be implemented on a co-financing basis. 50% of the funds are to be allocated by the states participating in the projects, and the other 50% by the European Commission. The program envisages modernization of road and rail border crossing points, access roads, truck parking areas, and the purchase of equipment for customs and border control. The development program will cover the following checkpoints: Yagodyn - Dorohusk, Krakivets - Korczowa, Mostyska II - Medyka, Porubne - Siret, Vadul-Siret - Dornești, Berezhanka - Luzhanka, Záhony - Chop.
