The State Food and Consumer Service has addressed a letter to the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety regarding the possibility of exporting Ukrainian potatoes to the European Union.

This was discussed during the meeting of the head of the State Food and Consumer Service Vladislava Magaletska with representatives of the Ukrainian Association of Potato Growers.

As of 7 February, since the beginning of the 2021/2022 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 39 210 thousand  tons of grain crops, which is 9 683 thousand tons more than in the same period of the previous marketing year.

This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

The competent authorities of Ukraine and Northern Macedonia have agreed on a form of certificate for the export of wet and dry pet food from Ukraine. The approval of the certificate was the result of work carried out by diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and specialists of the State Food and Consumer Service together with colleagues from Northern Macedonia.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

It is noted that markets have been opened in such countries as Israel, Montenegro, UAE, Serbia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Belgium, Lithuania, Ethiopia, Japan, Argentina, Libya, Kuwait, Slovakia, Jordan, Turkey, Liberia, Georgia, Qatar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
