The domestic hazelnut market in Ukraine consists of 1,000 tons (4,000 tons in-shell) of imported products and 1,000 tons of domestically produced hazelnuts.

To create opportunities for our industry to meet domestic demand and enable cooperation to form export batches, it is necessary to establish a registry of hazelnut orchards that anyone can join voluntarily. The typical size of hazelnut orchards in Ukraine is 10–50 hectares, and there is no need to pursue oversized operations. There are only five large orchards in the country.
