Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Justin Trudeau signed the updated Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada

As part of the working visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Canada, bilateral documents were signed. The head of the Ukrainian state and the head of the Canadian government signed the updated Agreement on free trade between Ukraine and Canada.

The document will help to create a new favorable climate for economic relations between the two countries, for the development of trade in goods and services, investments, the formation of a developed competitive market economy in accordance with national priorities, the development of its key industries, the implementation of systemic reforms and the improvement of the general welfare of the population.

Also, in the presence of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Justin Trudeau, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between PrJSC "Ukrhydroenergo" and the Canadian "Aikon Construction Global Services Incorporated" regarding cooperation in the construction of hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine.

The document envisages working out the possible participation of the Canadian AECON in the construction of Kaniv hydro power plant and Kakhovka power plant.
