USDA has raised the forecast for Ukrainian wheat production and exports in the 2026/27 MY

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in June 2026 published an updated global balance forecast for major agricultural crops for the 2026/27 marketing year.

According to the updated USDA forecasts, in the 2026/27 MY wheat production in Ukraine has been increased by 0.5 million tons – to 23.5 million tons. The export forecast has also been raised by 1.0 million tons – to 14.0 million tons. At the same time, the estimate of ending stocks has been reduced by 2.0 million tons – to 2.5 million tons.

The forecast for corn for Ukraine remained unchanged: production – 30.0 million tons, exports – 23.0 million tons, ending stocks – 2.56 million tons.

The updated forecast for the global wheat market in the 2026/27 MY envisages an increase in production, trade and ending stocks. World wheat production has been raised by 1.0 million tons – to 820.1 million tons.

World ending stocks of wheat in the 2026/27 MY have been increased by 0.4 million tons – to 275.4 million tons.

World corn production in the 2026/27 MY has been increased by 5.0 million tons – to 1,300.4 million tons.
