The updated free trade agreement between Ukraine and Canada will enter into force on July 1

The updated free trade agreement between Ukraine and Canada (CUFTA) enters into force on July 1. This was reported in the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

"This is without exaggeration a historic event, because this agreement is one of the most modern in the world. It is the first agreement that clearly shows that Ukraine shares the trade agenda of Canada, the USA, the EU, Japan and our other partners," - said Svyridenko.

The agreement retains the market access conditions for goods since 2017 agreement and has been updated to include chapters on investment, services and inclusive trade.
