The requirements for issuing international veterinary certificates for the import into the customs territory of Ukraine of certain types of products of animal origin have been updated.

The relevant changes were approved by Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine dated April 29, 2025, No. 1700.

The form of the international veterinary certificate for the import of processed animal protein (except for protein obtained from farm-raised insects), as well as mixtures and products (excluding pet food) containing such protein and not intended for human consumption, has been updated.

The update provides for clarification of veterinary and sanitary requirements and the list of information that must be confirmed by the competent authority of the exporting country.

In addition, a new form of international veterinary certificate has been introduced for the import of processed animal protein derived from farm-raised insects, as well as mixtures and products containing it (excluding pet food), not intended for human nutrition.
