In July of the current season, Ukrainian sunflower grist exports to the European Union dropped to 53,000 tons, half the volume of June, marking the lowest monthly figure for this direction in over three years. 

For the September-July period of the 2024/25 marketing year, 1.47 million tons of sunflower grist were exported to the EU, a 22% decrease compared to the same period in the previous season and the lowest in the last three seasons. 

Ukrainian sunflower grist exports in the current season declined across all key destinations. Notably, shipments to China decreased by a quarter, reaching 1.24 million tons. 

As a result, Ukraine’s sunflower grist exports for the 2024/25 marketing year may fall to the lowest level in three seasons, reaching approximately 3.5 million tons, a 25% reduction compared to the 2023/24 marketing year.
