Rapeseed processors in Ukraine have recently in some cases lowered prices due to the suspension of rapeseed purchases as they plan to switch to sunflower, where a fairly good crush margin is currently also observed.

Overall, rapeseed bid prices varied within a wide range – 22,000–23,800 UAH/t CPT-plant.

At the same time, the rapid rise in sunflower prices and the shrinking supply of rapeseed prevented the market from further price declines.

Meanwhile, rapeseed exports during the second week of October increased several times compared to the previous week, but still remained at a low level due to the export duty in force and the need to pay it, with agricultural producers hoping for its reimbursement.

In the first half of October, almost 35 thousand tonnes of oilseed were exported, compared to 350 thousand tonnes in the same period last year.
