Ukrainian exports of agricultural products this year increased by 21,5% in comparison with 2018

Mykola Puhachov, Deputy Director of National Scientific Centre “Institute of Agrarian Economics” informs that according to the data provided by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine exports of agricultural products in January-September of 2019 amounted to 15,8 billion USD and this is 2,8 billion USD (21,5 %) more in comparison with the same 9-month period of 2018. 

He has also mentioned that the main items in the commodity composition of domestic exports of agricultural products are grain and oil crops, oil, remains and industrial waste and meat. Their collective share in exports is nearly 85 %.

Mykola Puhachov has also said that three regions (countries of Asia, European Union and Africa) remain the main commodity markets for Ukrainian agricultural products. In general, they make over 90% of the value of Ukrainian agricultural exports. At the same time, exports of agricultural products to CIS countries decreased.
