Ukraine is more and more confidently entering the world berry market. Raspberries, primarily exported frozen, lead the way, with 90% of Ukrainian raspberries going abroad, making the country one of the world’s top exporters in this category. Ukraine supplies berries to Europe, particularly to the Netherlands, the UK and Germany.
Blueberries represent a smaller but rapidly growing segment. Ukraine produces over 20,000 tons annually, with half exported. As Spain’s peak season has ended, Ukrainian producers are now filling the gap in the European market.
Notably, Ukraine is already the world’s number one exporter of wild blueberries by volume.
