Ukraine’s trade turnover for January-February 2025 reached $17.6 billion USD.
During January-February 2025, Ukraine imported goods worth $11.3 billion and exported goods worth $6.3 billion.
Of this, taxable imports reached $8.6 billion, accounting for 76% of the total volume of imported goods.
The tax burden per 1 kg of taxable imports in January-February 2025 was $0.49/kg.
The countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods were: China - $2.6 billion, Poland - $1 billion, and Germany - $841 million.
In the total volume of goods imported in January-February 2025, 67% consisted of machinery, equipment, and transport (imported for $4.3 billion, with customs clearance of these goods, 26.3 billion UAH was paid to the budget, which is 27% of customs payments revenues), chemical industry products ($2 billion, with 15.8 billion UAH paid, or 16%), and fuel and energy materials ($1.4 billion, with 26.8 billion UAH paid, or 28%).
The largest export destinations from Ukraine were Poland - $714 million, Spain - $464 million, and Italy - $449 million.
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine included food products ($3.7 billion), metals and metal products ($624 million) and machinery, equipment, and transport ($568 million).
For January-February 2025, customs clearance of exported goods subject to export duties contributed 41.2 million UAH to the budget.
