During January-July 2025, Ukraine imported goods worth $45.9 billion and exported goods worth $23.2 billion. Taxable imports amounted to $34.7 billion, representing 76% of the total volume of imported goods.
The tax burden per 1 kg of taxable imports in January-July 2025 was $0.52/kg.
The largest volume of goods was imported from: China – $9.9 billion USD; Poland – $4.4 billion USD; Germany – $3.7 billion USD.
The largest export destinations were: Poland – $2.9 billion USD; Turkey – $1.9 billion USD; Italy – $1.3 billion USD.
Of the total volume of goods imported during this period, 68% consisted of: machinery, equipment, and transport – $18 billion USD (customs duties paid – 112.7 billion UAH, or 29% of total customs revenue); chemical industry products – $7.3 billion USD (customs duties paid – 57 billion UAH, or 15%); fuel and energy materials: $5.9 billion USD (customs duties paid: 105.5 billion UAH, or 27%).
Among leading export categories are: food products – $13 billion USD; metals and metal products – $2.6 billion USD; machinery, equipment, and transport – $2.2 billion USD.
Over the 7 months of 2025, 159.1 million UAH were paid to the budget during the customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duty.
