Ukraine’s IT sector increased exports after two years of decline

Ukraine’s IT sector in 2025 demonstrated growth in export volumes after two years of contraction. 

According to the results of last year, export revenue from computer services increased by 3.3% and amounted to $6.66 billion. This brought the Ukrainian economy $210 million more compared to the 2024 results. 

In December 2025, the volume of computer services exports increased by 26.2% and amounted to $685 million. This brought the Ukrainian economy $142 million more compared to November. 

December 2025 showed the highest result among all months of last year as well as 2023. In addition, it entered the top three most successful Decembers of the last 5 years and was second only to December 2021 ($792 million) and 2022 ($751 million). 

At the same time, in the overall structure of Ukraine's exports, the IT sector ranks second. In 2025, the share of computer services in total exports of goods and services was 12.3%. Food products and agricultural products remain the leader with a share of 41.5%. The third largest export industry is metallurgy – last year its share increased to 8.7% compared to 7.9% in 2024.
