The Ukrainian business community in the dairy sector has initiated the development of a Roadmap for Integration into the EU.

The roadmap is not just a formality on the negotiation path but a necessary tool for the sustainable development of the dairy sector.

Hanna Lavrenyuk, General Director of the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine, noted that during the period of active hostilities, 20% of the livestock was lost, and around 100 farms were destroyed. Despite these challenges, milk production volumes by agricultural enterprises have already returned to pre-war levels.

Ukraine’s veterinary and sanitary legislation has not only been adapted to EU requirements but is also being successfully implemented. However, there remain some tasks that require adaptation at the level of regulatory acts, as well as efforts to increase awareness among Ukrainian dairy market operators regarding the practical implementation of European standards.
