Ukraine’s buttermilk imports increased by 25% in January–July

In January–July 2025, Ukraine imported 5,500 tons of buttermilk, fermented milk, and cream, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.

In monetary terms, imports increased by 25.3% compared to January–July 2024, reaching $11.4 million.

The main suppliers were Poland (52.2%), Belgium (39.2%), and Germany (5.3%).

During the first 7 months of 2025, Ukraine exported 3,300 tons of buttermilk, fermented milk, and cream, which is 43.5% more than during the same period last year.

In monetary terms, exports increased by 63.3% compared to January–July 2024, reaching $4.9 million.

The primary buyers were Moldova (85.7%), Kazakhstan (5.3%), and the UAE (4.6%).
