Ukraine will import fertilizers according to a new mechanism

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, together with the State Customs Service, developed a new mechanism for the import of fertilizers into Ukraine, which became valid this week.

The new mechanism consists in the fact that all fertilizers imported into Ukraine should be conventionally divided into three risk groups: those that are not produced in russia and therefore cannot be of russian origin; which have a relatively small risk of russian origin; who have a higher risk of russian origin. At the same time additional check-ups will not be done if there are documents confirming the origin of fertilizers, in particular, a direct contract from a producer not from russia. Also, customs authorities should stop the practice of total check-ups in laboratories and begin documents’ check-ups.
