This season, Ukraine has become an active importer of potatoes, purchasing one of the largest volumes of the tuber in its history from abroad.

From July 2024 to March 2025, Ukraine imported 83,000 tons of table potatoes.

This is a record for the past four seasons and one of the highest in history. Ukraine imported more potatoes only in the 2019/2020 season (from Russian and Belarusian markets) and the 2020/2021 season (from the EU). Currently, potatoes are being imported either from EU countries (2024 harvest) or from Egypt (new harvest).
