Ukraine sent only 1 ton of chilled beef for export in September

In September this year, Ukraine has exported cattle and beef in the amount of 9,02 million US dollars, which almost corresponds to the level of August. Thus, during the reporting period, the export of cattle by live weight amounted to about 1,13 thousand tons (-6% compared to August) in the amount of 1,65 million US dollars (-39%).

Last month, Lebanon and Georgia bought cows in Ukraine. In January-September this year, Ukraine exported 14,77 thousand tons of live cattle for 23,43 million US dollars (+12,12% and -5,4% in accordance with last year's figures).

At the same time, the volume of chilled beef export reduced to 1 ton, which is 33 ton less than in August. Cash income amounted to 9 thousand US dollars compared to 123 thousand US dollars a month before. About 35,2% of the goods were sent to Turkey, 24% to Moldova, and 12,4% to the Marshall Islands.

In September, Ukraine has imported 250 tons of live weight cattle from EU member states, in particular from Denmark and Lithuania. In January-September, import from the EU amounted to 518 tons of cattle, which is 47,16% less than last year. Import volumes of chilled beef reduced to 10,4 tons (-6,7%), and frozen beef increased to 196 tons (+8,3%). Meat was supplied to Ukraine from the USA and EU member states, in particular from Lithuania and Poland.
