In mid-December, Ukraine shipped a Panamax vessel loaded with corn destined for China, marking the first significant delivery to this buyer in the 2025/26 marketing year. The shipment amounted to 58.8 thousand tons.

The previous batch of Ukrainian corn to China was sent back in April 2025.

Total supplies in the 2024/25 marketing year amounted to only 190 thousand tons, a sharp decline compared to 4.6 million tons in the 2023/24 season.
