Ukraine is ready to supply grain, sunflower oil and meat products to the Armenian market

The discussion of supply of grain and other agricultural products to the Armenian market was discussed during the meeting of Deputy Minister of Economy - Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka with Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Arman Khojoyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Ukraine Vladimir Karapetyan.

«Ukraine  as a reliable trading partner and top exporter of agricultural products, makes every effort to ensure uninterrupted supply of food products and raw materials for their production to foreign markets. The agricultural sector of Ukraine is constantly developing, we are working to open new markets, increase production and export of value-added products. Ukraine is ready to supply grain, sunflower oil, meat products, etc. to the Armenian market», - Taras Kachka said.

In January-August 2021, bilateral trade in agricultural products between Ukraine and Armenia amounted to 51,5 million US dollars, which is 3% more than in the same period last year. In particular, Ukrainian export amounted to 41,6 million US dollars.

The parties expressed confidence that the Eighth Meeting of the Ukrainian-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation is an effective platform for deepening and identifying promising areas of cooperation.

In particular, the organization of a dialogue between business representatives of both countries is a good opportunity to discuss areas and spheres of mutual interest.

The Ukrainian side also offered the Armenian side to consider the possibility of investing in Ukrainian industrial parks. They also discussed the issues of deepening cooperation in the field of energy efficiency, cooperation in various industries, development of multimodal freight transportation, signing of the Agreement between the competent authorities of the Parties on cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant protection and other issues.
