Ukraine is negotiating with Moldova and Romania on the automotive "green corridor" for agricultural exports

Ukraine has started negotiations with Moldova and Romania regarding the creation of a "green corridor" between the checkpoints "Reni (Ukraine) - Giurgiulesti (Moldova) - Galats (Romania)" to speed up the movement of goods and the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

This became the key topic of the negotiations with the participation of Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Serhii Derkach, State Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova Mircea Pascaluce and State Secretary of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania Ionel Skriostianu.

These checkpoints are located next to each other and are strategic for goods moving by car to ports, particularly Galați, Romania.

"In order to create a "green corridor", except the introduction of joint control, a number of solutions are needed, in particular, the development of the "Reni" checkpoint. In this case, representatives of the controlling authorities of Moldova will be able to carry out all the necessary procedures when leaving Ukraine,"- in the Ministry of Reconstruction stressed.

The plan for launching the "green corridor" includes: reconstruction of the Reni-Galatz highway and its expansion from 2 to 4 lanes; additional technical equipment of checkpoints. All these measures are possible with the support of the decision of all three sides.
