Ukraine, Moldova and Romania agreed to speed up rail transportation between ports

Railway operators of Ukraine, Moldova and Romania held a tripartite meeting in Chisinau, where they agreed on measures to improve transportation in the direction of Reni-Giurgiulesti-Galac and vice versa.

As a result of the meeting, the parties determined the following measures to improve the situation: non-stop passage through Reni; coordination of transported volumes in 5 days; transfer of complete collective trains from Moldova to Romania, 50–60 wagons; three-way exchange of information on the movement of wagons and the daily processing capacity of receiving terminals in Galați; integration of receiving terminals in Galați to automated documents flow system for orders for cargo transportation and formation of plans "Mesplan".

The implementation of such actions will provide a number of advantages, in particular, increasing the throughput capacity of the Giurgiulesti-Galați checkpoint in three times, reducing the time of carriages between the ports of Ukraine, Moldova and Romania by 2-3 days, and reducing transport expenses.
