Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland agreed on important agricultural initiatives

Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland signed the declaration, which contains a number of important initiatives and appeals to EU member states and EU institutions.

Among the main provisions of the declaration:

  • Ban on the import of agricultural products from the russian federation and Belarus to the EU.
  • Consideration of the possibility of banning the transit of agricultural products from the russian federation and Belarus through the territory of the EU.
  • Limiting the access of russian agricultural producers to advanced world technologies and equipment.
  • Introduction of an intervention system for the purchase of surplus grain in periods of unfavorable market prices. This will help stabilize grain prices and ensure farmers' incomes.
  • Restrictions on potentially unfair trade practices, including counterfeit of country of origin information.
  • Helping Ukraine to restore market positions outside of Europe by restoring sales channels.
  • Condemnation of russia for exporting illegally appropriated grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
