Ukraine leads in the export of frozen raspberries, surpassing Poland and Serbia

In 2024, Ukraine reached a historic achievement by becoming the world leader in net exports of frozen raspberries. For the first time, the country managed to overtake not only Poland but also Serbia, which had been a dominant player in this segment for many years.

Ukraine imports only negligible amounts of raspberries, unlike Serbian and Polish producers, who actively purchase this product abroad. In Ukraine, the share of imported raspberries remained low, while in Poland’s exports, it already exceeded 52%. Nearly half of the frozen raspberries exported by Poland are of Ukrainian origin.

In 2024, Ukraine supplied 65,000 tons of frozen raspberries to foreign markets, compared to only about 16,000 tons from Poland. Ukraine’s export volumes are four times higher than Poland’s figures. However, in terms of total export volume, Ukraine is still behind Serbia, which exported 67,700 tons, however due to imports for re-export, Serbia reduced its net export to 63,000 tons.
