Ukraine increased poultry meat exports to 195.6 thousand tons in January-May 2025

Poultry meat exports to foreign markets during January-May 2025 reached 195.6 thousand tons valued at $457.8 million.

In January-May 2024, poultry meat exports reached 190 thousand tons valued at $383.65 million.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1481 “On approval of lists of goods subject to export and import licensing and quotas for 2025,” allocated quotas for “Meat and edible offal of poultry: domestic chickens (Gallus domesticus), ducks, geese, guinea fowl” and “Meat and edible offal of poultry: domestic chickens (Gallus domesticus), ducks, geese, guinea fowl, not cut into pieces, frozen” for export to EU countries.

Quota allocation among exporters was based proportionally on their actual supply volumes to EU countries in January-April 2025.

A reserve quota of 1,071 tons will be distributed among exporters who did not supply these products to the EU in January-April 2025:

- 612 tons by September 30, 2025,

- 459 tons from October 1 to December 31, 2025.

By the end of 2025, Ukraine will be able to export 7/12 of the annual quota volume for 36 types of products specified in the free trade agreement to the EU.
