Ukrainian agricultural enterprises in 2025 increased the number of cows for the first time in years of independence, as well as milk production, which made it possible to increase processing volumes and expand the export of dairy products.

As of December 1, 2025, agricultural enterprises increased the number of cows by 3% – to 385 thousand heads. Thanks to higher productivity, milk production in the agricultural enterprises segment grew by about 7% – to 3.2 million tonnes.

The volume of dairy products exports in milk equivalent increased by 17% – to 0.7 million tonnes, while imports amounted to about 0.4 million tonnes.
