Ukraine increased livestock export revenue in the first half of the year

In the first half of 2025, Ukraine significantly boosted its revenue from the export of live cattle. According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms, live cattle exports increased by 2.4 times compared to the same period in 2024, reaching $21.5 million.

From January to June 2025, Ukraine exported 9,700 tons of live cattle, a 90.2% increase compared to the same period last year. The export growth was driven by increased shipments of both breeding and meat cattle, as well as improved logistics and new contracts with foreign partners.

However, the livestock industry faces challenges, including fluctuating feed prices, logistics costs and the need to adapt to importers’ requirements. Despite these difficulties, the positive export trend indicates potential for further development and attracting new partners.
