The commodity structure of food product imports to Ukraine has remained largely unchanged. However, since 2022, due to the occupation of certain territories and military actions in the south caused by Russia’s large-scale armed aggression, vegetable crops have been added to the list of key imported products.
In the first half of 2025, the value of vegetable imports increased by 64%, reaching $355 million. Ukrainian importing companies focused primarily on purchasing tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, and sweet peppers.
