Ukraine has signed “transport visa-free” agreement with another European country

Ukraine and Albania signed the Agreement on International Road Transport, which creates opportunities for the development of transportation between the countries and the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation.

The Agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories Serhiy Derkach and the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania Enea Karakaci.

The document defines the legal basis for the implementation of international road transport of passengers and goods between Ukraine and Albania, as well as transit transportation through the territories of both states.

In addition, the agreement provides for the introduction of a “transport visa-free” – that is, the liberalization of freight transportation.

Albania is the 37th country with which Ukraine will have a “transport visa-free”.

The document also provides for the creation of a mixed commission, which will coordinate the procedure for transportation, exchange of statistical information and the development of cooperation between the competent authorities of the two states.

After the completion of domestic procedures, the document will enter into force in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and Albania.
