Ukraine has banned the import of certain livestock products due to foot-and-mouth disease and swine fever. Dairy and meat products from ten EU countries will be under the spotlight.
Specifically, imports from Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, the Czech Republic, Latvia, and Poland have been restricted due to African swine fever. Imports from Germany have also been limited due to foot-and-mouth disease.
As a result, the Ukrainian market is now closed not only to dairy products (milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, etc.) but also to German and Polish sausages, as well as Italian prosciutto and salami.
