Ukraine has renewed its record in grain exports

In the 2019/2020 marketing year (MR), Ukraine updated the record for grain exports – 57,2 million tons.

This is the news by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture with reference to official data of the State Customs Service.

„According to the State Customs Service based on the results of 2019/2020 marketing year, record-breaking 57,2 million tons of grain, legumes and flour were delivered to foreign markets, which is 6,8 million tons more than last year, when the export amounted to 50,4 million tons,“ –  the message says.

A total of 56,7 million tons of grain and legumes were exported, of which:

wheat and a mixture of wheat and rye – 20,5 million tons;

barley  – 5,08 million tons;

wheat –  8,2 thousand tons;

corn –  30,3 million tons;

other cereals and legumes  – 791 thousand tons.

Flour was exported 334,2 thousand tons, of which:

wheat flour or mixtures of wheat and rye (meslin) – 331,7 thousand tons;

flour of other cereals –  2,5 thousand tons.

As Ukrinform reported, according to the official data of the State Fiscal Service, based on the results of 2018/2019 marketing year, a record 50,4 million tons of grain, legumes and flour were delivered to foreign markets, which is 9,5 million tons more than in the previous year, when export amounted to 40,9 million tons.

The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the participants of the grain market of Ukraine for the new 2020/2021 marketing year, which began on July 1.
