Ukraine has reaffirmed its right to export milk and dairy products to the EU

From 1 to 12 March this year, the European Commission was audited to assess the official control over the production and certification of milk and dairy products intended for export to the European Union. For today, the State Food and Consumer Service has received a report on the results of the audit and proposals for further exports of Ukrainian products to the EU.

Among Ukrainian enterprises that have the right to export products for human consumption to the EU, there are 25 producers of milk and dairy products. For many companies, the right to export to the EU market is a major advantage in other markets.

,,Successful audit confirms the effectiveness of the state control system. This is the daily qualitative work of many professionals. It is very important not only to expand the access of Ukrainian products to EU markets, but also to maintain its high quality,” - said Vladyslava Magaletska, Head of the State Food and Consumer Service.

For reference

In 2016, access to EU markets for products of animal origin from Ukraine was expanded. In particular, in January 2016 Ukraine has received a permit to export dairy products to the EU. Starting from the second half of 2016, 13 Ukrainian companies have started exporting dairy products to the EU. Today the number of such enterprises has increased to 25.
