Ukraine has launched a modernized power line with Poland

After modernization, the interstate power line between Ukraine and Poland was  launched. European partners provided about a thousand technical equipment. The line has been functioning since April 27. It has successfully passed the 3-day testing period.

An additional powerful interconnector increases export-import capabilities. It is  with the help of saling of electricity that Ukraine accumulates resources for energy renewal before the new heating season. If necessary, Ukraine will activate import to receive emergency aid from its neighbours.

The total cost of the project was 350 million hryvnias. A number of necessary equipment was provided by Polish partners free of charge.

The total length of the line reaches almost 400 km, more than 70% of them pass through the territory of Ukraine.
