Ukraine has initiated the procedure of joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for the Trans-Pacific Partnership

The corresponding request was sent to the Minister of Trade and Export Growth, Biosecurity, Land Information and Rural Communities and the Minister of Agriculture of New Zealand D. O'Connor, as the depository country of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

The CPTPP plays the role of one of the most important free trade zones in the world, and Ukraine's accession to it would contribute to the further expansion of its trade in the Asian region, as well as to the shift of the center of the world economy to the east.

Ukraine's participation in the CPTPP will strengthen Ukraine's cooperation with partner countries, including those that have also applied to join it, and will send a strong signal about the importance this dynamic group of countries places on free trade.
