Ukraine has increased its wine exports by 50%

During the year, Ukraine has increased exports of grape wines by 49,3%, in monetary terms. This information was provided by the State Customs Service of Ukraine. During 5 months of this year, Ukraine has exported wine worth 5,4 million USD and in January-May of 2019 – worth 3,6, million USD. So, during the year Ukraine has increased wine deliveries abroad by 49,3%. The wine imports has increased during the year by 28 % (to 54,8 million USD) as well.

The largest suppliers of wine to Ukraine are Italy, France and Germany.

As it has been reported before, Ukrainians have started to drink more local wines, during the quarantine.

The top-5 most popular among Ukrainian consumers wines are: “Koblevo”, “Shabo”, “Koktebel”, “Inkerman” and “Oreanda”.

Let us remember you that the world trend of alcohol beverages market is actively developing in Ukraine. Talking about this trend we mean the growing popularity of light alcoholic drinks. These beverages mostly are sparkling wines and low-alcoholic cocktails, which are ready for consuming and are sold in bottles.
