Ukraine's trade turnover in January-May this year amounted to 41,9 billion US dollars, which is 4% more than in 2022.
During the reporting period, goods worth 25,4 billion US dollars were imported to Ukraine, and exported - 16,5 billion US dollars.
The three most exported goods from Ukraine included:
food products - 10,1 billion US dollars;
metals and products from them - 1,7 billion US dollars;
machinery, equipment and transport - 1,4 billion US dollars.
In the total volumes of goods imported in January-May 2023, 67% were in the following categories:
machinery, equipment and transport - 7,3 billion US dollars;
fuel and energy goods - 5,2 billion US dollars;
chemical industry products - 4,6 billion US dollars.
The majority of products were exported from Ukraine to Poland — for 2,3 billion US dollars, Romania — for 1,6 billion US dollars, China — for 1,4 billion US dollars.
The countries from which the most imported goods to Ukraine were: China — 3,9 billion US dollars, Poland — 2,7 billion US dollars and Turkey — 2 billion US dollars.
