In January-September 2023, Ukraine has exported 41 000 tons of honey. Despite the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, the honey industry of Ukraine continues to develop. In 2022, 48 thousand tons of honey were exported, and in 9 months of 2023 - 41 thousand tons of honey. Ukrainian honey is supplied to Germany, Poland, Belgium, the USA, France, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

In order to strengthen the position of Ukrainian honey producers on the national and international markets, it is necessary to implement the legal experience of the EU at the legislative level. It will also allow to expand foreign markets for the export of Ukrainian honey.

According to Eurostat, in 2022 Ukraine took the 2nd place among the countries importing honey to the European Union with a share of 24%.
