Ukraine has exhausted the 2020 quota for wheat exports

The AIC-Inform agency informed on Wednesday, May 27 that as of May 25, Ukraine has exhausted the 2020 quota for wheat exports, which has been set, according to the agreement between the Ministry and traders.  Ukraine has exported 20,015 million tons of wheat and this is 5,2 million tons more in comparison with the same period of 2018/2019 season. At the same time, the quota equals to 20, 2 million tons. 

The barley exports has amounted to 4,8 million tons (+ 1,3 million tons), corn exports – 28,01 million tons (+1,35 million tons), rye exports – 8,2 thousand tons (-80 thousand tons).  The total Ukrainian exports of the cereal crops as of the reporting date has reached 53,51 million tons and this is 7,79 million tons more in comparison with the result of the same period of the last season (45,72 million tons).

Now Ukraine asks the EU to reconsider the distribution of quotas on imports of Ukrainian products.
