Ukraine has earned 13,5% less on the export of live cattle in 10 months

In January-October 2023, Ukraine has exported 15 500 tons of live cattle, which is 2,6% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, in monetary terms, the export of live cattle for 10 months was 13,5% less than for the same period in 2022, amounting to 24,4 million US dollars.

Lebanon (57,8%), Egypt (27,9%), and Jordan (9,3%) bought the most domestic live cattle during January-October this year. The import of live cattle during 10 months of 2023 amounted to 582 tons, which is 26,8% less than in the same period last year.

Ukrainian farmers spent 3,2 million US dollars on the purchase of live cattle abroad - 5,9% less than in January-October 2022. During the 10 months of 2023, live cattle were most imported from Denmark (70,9%), Slovakia (17,5%) and Poland (8,5%).
